Postdoctoral Position - Head and Neck Cancer (m/f/d)
wanted for the next possible date at the Department of Department of Otorhinolaryngology Ear, Nose, Throat for the Section Experimental and Translational Oncology
We are looking for an enthusiastic postdoctoral fellow to join our research team to study cellular and molecular processes in the pathogenesis of head and neck cancer as well as the underlying principles of intrinsic and acquired treatment resistance and cancer cell dissemination. Of particular interest are gene regulatory networks and signaling pathways that modulate the mutual crosstalk between cancer cells and components of the tumor microenvironment. Our experimental and analytical portfolio includes prospective and retrospective cohort studies and patient-derived biospecimens, integrative analysis of multiomics data using computational workflows and bioinformatics, and the establishment and analysis of preclinical models to address basic scientific principles and as a proof-of-concept for innovative treatment strategies.

- Integrative analysis of multi-omics data using state-of-the-art bioinformatics
- Conceptual design and establishment of preclinical models
- Preparation of scientific presentations and manuscripts for publication
- Collaboration with national and international clinicians and scientists
- Supervision of doctoral students and junior scientists
Your Profile
- Curiosity, passion and enthusiasm for translational research
- Ph.D. in bioscience or equivalent degree with a strong background in bioinformatics and basic knowledge in molecular biology, oncology and histology
- Self-driven motivation and willingness to drive the project forward
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English (speaking, reading, writing)
