Research assistant (PhD-candidate or Postdoc) (f/m/d)
wanted for the next possible date at the medical clinic for gastroenterology.
Investigating the role of infiltrative monocytes in inflammatory bowel disease
The pathophysiology of inflammatory bowel disease is associated with an altered innate immune response. The underlying molecular mechanisms how myeloid cells modulate gut inflammation and fibrogenesis is not well studied.
In our junior group „Innate Immunity in Gastroenterology“ we are dedicated to investigating the role of infiltrative monocytes in mediating the disease course and severity in IBD. You can find more information about the lab on our homepage: Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg: AG Tiwari-Heckler.
If you are interested in a PhD position or if you are a postdoc and you are interested to join our dynamic young research group, please do not hesitate to apply!
The Fellows and the Specialist will have the opportunity to be incorporated in cutting-edge research conducted at the Department of Gastroenterology (University Hospital Heidelberg). This project is funded by the DFG. We closely collaborate with other research groups from Heidelberg and Boston (USA).
