The Heidelberg Institute of Global Health is looking to hire a half-time Research Assistant to support our contribution to three Horizon Europe projects that are focused on promoting health and preventing disease all with a strong social justic lense.   The Research Assistant will help with project management tasks as well as with the preparation of deliverables, manuscripts (including co-authorship opportunities fort he manuscripts depending on the level of contribution) and future funding applications.

Your Tasks

In addition to attending regular project management/review meetings, the applicant will work under the direct supervision of Dr Anant Jani as well as with colleagues at HIGH and other project partners to:

  • Contribute to literature reviews around key factors impacting food systems and determinants of health;
  • Prepare deliverables and manuscripts linked to the outcomes of the projects
  • Prepare future funding applications
  • Support the analysis of policies to support transitions to healthier and more sustainable food systems

Your Profile

  • Bachelors or Masters in a relevant discipline (e.g. public health, epidemiology, medicine, sociology, political science) w
  • Fluency in English in writing and spoken language
  • Experience with food and/or healthcare systems would be preferred
  • Ability to work and collaborate in an interdisciplinary team
