PhD studentship / position (m/f/d)

In the Department of General, Visceral and Transplant Surgery we are seeking for a PhD candidate (m/f/d).

This position is available immediately for a period of 3 years and is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).  

Tasks
The PhD student will join a high-profile research project within a multidisciplinary Clinical Research Unit, involving clinicians and basic scientists alike. The training will involve the analysis of transgenic in vivo and in vitro models in order to unravel the role of Wnt-driven inflammatory pathways in the development and progression of gastric cancer.
Prerequisites

The successful candidate must hold a successful university degree in the Biomedical Sciences, and have research experiences and technical skills in experimental molecular/cellular biology, ideally including next- or third-generation-sequencing. Experience concerning the analysis of mouse models is valuable. Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
